How can I get free realtime share, unit trust, and fund price quotes
for stock traded on the London Stock Exchange in Microsoft Excel. It
seems to be possible only for U.S. Stock. If you go to
www.fundies.info
you will find an excel spreadsheet that can be downloaded for the FTSE350
can you tell me how to get US shares download for excel pleaseYes, I thought that might be a posibillity. I am not even slightly
sure how to begin doing this though and if anyone could give me some
guidance that would be of help. Could this work be undertaken through
google answers? I recognize that this would recquire more money but am
quite willing to re-post or tip gnerously to encompass that.
Indeed if there is another answer, and I have been too miserly in my
original price (Im a bit new to this!) then I could do likewise. I
guess I just hoped that someone might know straight off from personal
experrience and might be able to share.ozymandias, the solution might be just to get someone to write a
custom script or program for you to download this information.I'm not sure which version of Excel you are using, but I have 2002 and
I found something that may work for you.
* In a new worksheet, click on a cell, then go to Data > Import Data > Web Query.
* This brings up a browser.
* Now plug in this URL to the London Exchange's site:
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/en-gb/pricesnews/prices/system/detailedprices.htm?sym=GB00B01XYM75GBGBXAIM%20B01XYM7MSR
* You'll see a bunch of yellow boxes denoting areas where data can be
pulled. I checked the box next to Bid, Offer, Volume, High, Low and
Last Close.
* Click the Import button on the bottom right of the browser and it
should pull all of that table into your spreadsheet.
* Finally, right click on one of the cells with new data and choose
Data Range Properties.
* Check the box that says "Refresh every " and put in a sufficient refresh rate.
The quotes are delayed of course, but you get what you pay for and
that data is free!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
